#중문시공이야기 Actually, when choosing the interior door for our home, we prioritized function over design. The biggest reason was to prevent Lalla from going out to the front door and sitting next to the shoes to wait for us. So, at first, I thought that it didn't necessarily have to be an expensive product; as long as it performed the necessary functions well, that would be fine. 1. Type of Interior Door Since we had installed the standard 3-panel sliding door in our previous home, I wanted to try a different style this time. Also, at the time of moving, large appliances and furniture like the refrigerator and sofa hadn't arrived yet, so I wanted to avoid the process of removing and reinstalling the door later when we needed to bring in larger items. Therefore, I chose a design that maximizes the opening width when the door is opened. 2. Color / Glass Although we could have made the entire door glass, I chose a design that blocks the bottom section so that the shoes in the entryway wouldn't be visible from inside the house. Considering my tall husband's height and eye level, I decided on a height that adequately conceals the shoes without making the space look cramped. And what I liked even more than I expected was the color of the interior door. I generally don't like white, so instead of pure white, I chose the Balen Moody Cream color, which blends naturally with our home's wallpaper. I also combined it with bronze-toned glass. Although I chose this interior door prioritizing functionality, I am satisfied because the design matches the atmosphere of the house perfectly now that it is installed. 3. Installation Effects Now that I’ve actually used it, the advantages are clear. I am satisfied that Lalla cannot come out to the entrance where the shoes are, that the space is separated from the entrance during the summer when the air conditioner is used 24 hours a day to help reduce cooling energy loss, and that it blocks even the small noises made when opening and closing the front door.
