My personal tip for maintaining my study is to neatly match the tones of the monitor screen and desk mat, and to tidy up the clutter that gets in the way by using drawers or storage boxes with covers. The H&I drawer unit I bought from Today's House fits perfectly under the desk, making it ideal for hiding documents and small items. With the addition of a turquoise chair by Magnus Olesen that serves as a distinct accent amidst the overall white tones, an attractive space has been completed that I never get tired of, even after sitting and working for a long time.
