I'm someone who always makes sure to go grocery shopping whenever I travel abroad!! That's me, me 🙋‍♀️ The most fun thing to do in the world is looking around grocery stores in other countries 🛒 I diligently filled my suitcase for this trip too, haha. Usually, when you think of a Japanese grocery shopping list, there are so many famous and familiar products like snacks, ramen, jelly, curry, sauces, etc. But I happened to go 3 years ago?? Ever since I discovered this side dish, I always make sure to buy *Konbu Tsukudani* (braised kelp) haha. At a supermarket in Tokyo, a local Japanese man was filling his shopping cart with *kelp* triangle rice balls. So I followed his lead and grabbed a kelp rice ball, while my husband grabbed a tuna rice ball. But he said the kelp rice ball was much tastier and even stole some of mine hahaha. I usually eat it as a side dish with rice, but this time I tried making it to replicate that triangle rice ball recipe. It was so delicious when prepared like this 🍙.
