Usually, when using semi-recessed lighting, the remaining space is simply blocked off with a wall. It looks neat, but it feels like a waste. So, I tried doing it this way. I installed storage in the remaining space and arranged indirect lighting to blend in naturally. The wall, which could have been plain, has become the most dense space in the house.
