AUG 1 - 16 [Today's House Bukchon, 1F, 11 Bukchon-ro 5-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul] I received an invitation at the end of July, and since I don't live in Seoul, I debated a lot about whether to go or not. Finally, I made up my mind and visited on a weekday, combining it with a vacation! When I first opened the door and went inside, I was surprised by how small it was, but in the cozy space, 93 cups were beautifully displayed. Each cup had a description of the artist's story, and I was able to vote using paper flowers. I also stamped the cup postcard I received upon entry and participated in a vase-making experience that I had always wanted to try. While reflecting on the Ido Ceramic artist's motto, "Inner beauty is more important than outer beauty"—a common saying—making the vase allowed me to look inward once again and made a resolution to cultivate a beautiful inner self. Finally, I got a chance to try the gacha machine, but unfortunately, I had no luck and only received a special sticker. If you like cups, you can purchase them. Also, if you make a vase yourself, they will fire it, glaze it, and ship it to your home for a fee, so if you like vases or cups, I think it is worth a visit.
