The kitchen, the busiest space in our house. While I appreciate a neatly clear kitchen, I prefer a scene where frequently used items are naturally visible. I take out and hang the cooking utensils I reach for often, and neatly stack the dishes I use frequently on an open shelf. On one wall, I have gathered family photos and small traces left by the children. Perhaps that is why, when I look at the kitchen, I see how our family lives first, rather than just a "well-decorated space." It is a place where we cook and wash dishes every day, and where the children come and go, leaving traces one by one. As glimpses of our daily lives are added little by little, it feels like it is becoming a space that truly feels like our home.
