#GlassBlocks I removed the turning door and separated the space with glass blocks. This is one of my favorite spaces in my house, a small wall featuring glass blocks. I wanted to divide the space more naturally while preserving the light, so I removed the existing turning door and created a new space through carpentry work to install the glass blocks. I felt that building a completely solid wall would feel stifling, but leaving the space completely open also felt a bit lacking. However, by adding glass blocks, I was able to solve both issues just right. The light comes in as is, subtly obscures the opposite side, and creates a feeling of natural separation. In particular, since glass blocks allow light to pass through without making the space appear sharp, it felt much lighter and more open than when I built a partition wall. At first, I was worried that the glass blocks might look old-fashioned, but by neatly framing them with carpentry and keeping the surrounding finishes as simple as possible, it turned out to be much more modern than I expected. During the day, natural light streams in, spreading softly through the glass blocks, and I love how the atmosphere changes depending on the time of day. If you are looking to divide a space in a slightly more special way while keeping the original function of the area intact, glass blocks would be a great solution.
