Who does the housekeeping for a family of five? There is only one person cleaning, but five people making a mess. Even if I cleaned all day, it felt like there was no end to it. So I thought, "This can't go on like this." And then I realized. Housekeeping needs to be easy. Raising three children means hair on clothes, hair on bedding, and dust constantly accumulates on the sofa. So when it feels awkward to take out the vacuum cleaner, I quickly solve the problem with just a lint roller. And you know those days when you feel like something is still off even after vacuuming? On those days, I just wipe it one more time with a microfiber cloth. Finally, organizing. When organizing, deep storage containers are tricky because if you put items deep inside, it's hard to retrieve them and awkward to tidy up. So I use deep storage containers to organize. 18 years of housekeeping while raising three children. In the past, I tried to keep the house perfectly clean, but now my thinking has changed a little. I've found that doing things easily and often lasts longer than doing them perfectly.
