Our entrance and hallway are connected for quite a while, so I wasn't sure if we really needed an inner door, but my husband insisted on having one, so we ended up doing it. I wanted a sliding door, but since it would interfere with the pantry door, we decided to go with a hinged door instead. I was going to use fluted glass, but when I saw it in person, the frosted glass looked prettier, so I chose that instead.☺️ Since the house isn't visible from the front door, we didn't use frosted glass for the entire door; instead, we just added a decorative accent at the bottom. One of the best things about having the inner door is that it blocks out outside noise!
