#리모델링하다생긴일 Partial Interior Construction of Tall Cabinets and Island Cabinets - This is a review of creating a café cabinet using LX ‘Nature Moon Gray,’ a furniture board inspired by the surface of the moon. In our home, we used the existing base cabinets as they were without any refurbishment, as part of the standard interior option. Instead, we only had additional café cabinets and island cabinets custom-made to fill the gaps. The challenge was deciding on the mood and color... The existing base cabinets were a dark gray to brown color with a bumpy texture... (So, refurbishing them was a bit tricky...?!) Because they sometimes looked slightly pinkish depending on the light, choosing the color for the new furniture was harder than expected. Since the existing base cabinets couldn't be changed, I realized it was important for the new furniture to blend in naturally without standing out too much. So, before even considering the shape, I pondered: "What color and material would naturally connect with the existing cabinets?" After visiting many places, the material I chose after seeing it in person was LX Selection 5 Nature ‘Nature Moon Gray.’ I heard that Nature Moon Gray is a board created inspired by the surface of the moon. Perhaps that is why? It was closer to a natural and soft gray tone than the cold feel of concrete. Although it isn't exactly the same color, I liked that it blended smoothly with the gray-brown tones of the existing base cabinets and the niche space inside the cafe cabinet, so it didn't stand out awkwardly within the space. I was very worried, but it matched quite well, so I am extremely satisfied.😭 For the doors of the cafe cabinet and island cabinet, I used LX Board furniture board ‘Vanilla Cream,’ and for the island countertop, I crafted it using LX HI-MACS artificial marble ‘Aurora Frost.’ Overall, it feels neither too cold nor too warm, and the existing kitchen and the newly made furniture blend together perfectly, so I am very satisfied with how it looks. I am currently using it with great satisfaction. However, there are things I learned while actually using it. 🤔🤦‍♂️ (🌊 If I could go back to before making it and change just one thing!!) I have a coffee machine placed on the cabinet, but since the coffee puck container is designed to be pulled out forward, there was a problem where it got caught on the edge of the shelf. Since it got caught on the edge, I couldn't pull out the coffee puck container... It ended up in the conclusion of buying a stand. ^^… In the end, I keep a separate stand for the coffee machine and am using it with the height adjusted. The lesson learned from making this cabinet was this: 📍 First, if you cannot replace the existing cabinet, it is more important to choose colors and materials that blend naturally into the existing space, rather than having new furniture that stands out beautifully. 📍 Second, while a cabinet is aesthetically pleasing, since it is ultimately furniture used daily, you must check the structure of small appliances as well. 📍Third, you need to check things much more specifically than you might think, including the location of the coffee machine water tank, the direction for removing the coffee puck, the placement of power outlets and power strips, and even the locations for drilling holes for the wires. I also spent a long time deliberating on-site right up until the wire drilling, but I think it would have been much easier if I had planned the appliance layout and workflow in advance. To summarize in one sentence: you don't necessarily have to completely overhaul the basic options; if you choose the right materials and connect the tones well, the space can flow together quite naturally. And as for the cabinets... While aesthetics are important, make sure to check how the small appliances operate!!
