#리모델링하다생긴일 #욕실하자 We had the bathroom renovated twice😭 (It’s a sad episode about how I’m still not satisfied with itㅠㅠ) After the full remodeling was finished, you know how we check for defects before moving in? Up until then, we hadn't found any major issues, and we mentioned the minor details one by one, agreed to get them repaired, and wrapped things up. We moved in with excitement, thinking the construction was all done, but the problem arose on the very first day we moved in, while using the bathroom. I came out of the shower, and the bathroom floor was flooded!!!!!!! Usually, when you shower, the water naturally flows toward the drain. However, in our house, the water didn't flow well toward the drain, and kept pooling on the opposite side. To drain the water, I had to manually push it toward the drain with a mop for it to drain at all. Since I had to drain the water manually every time I showered, it was much more inconvenient than I expected. Upon inspection, I found that before the water could flow towards the drain, one section of the tiles was higher than the others, causing the water to get stuck. I immediately requested after-sales service from the interior design company, and they agreed to redo the work. However, the problem was that it wasn't fixed right away. 😱😡 In the end, it took two months to get the redo done. During those two months, the water wouldn't drain whenever I showered, so I had to manually push the water out of the bathroom floor every day. It wasn't a one-time thing; since we had to do it every time my family members showered, it became a daily routine. This was much more stressful than I expected. To think that after having the bathroom renovated, I had to use a mop to drain the water after every shower... Only after enduring that for two months did the bathroom contractor come to check again, and eventually, they removed the tiles and redoed the work. However, after the redo, I felt a different kind of regret. The tile spacing wasn't consistent; some areas were too wide, others too narrow... Even though the bathroom was renovated, I couldn't really be satisfied because the uneven installation was visible to the eye. And most importantly, the drainage wasn't perfectly resolved either. Even now, after using the bathroom, I manually push the water with a drain cleaner to direct it toward the drain. When I first inspected the bathroom, I think I only looked to see if it was nicely constructed. Looking back now, I realize that when doing a final inspection after interior renovations, you shouldn't just rely on visual inspection for the bathroom. You really need to actually turn on the water to check if it flows properly toward the drain, if there are any pools in the middle, and if the drainage is working correctly. We discovered the problem on the very first day we moved in, but we had to manually drain the water every day while waiting two months for the renovation. If you are inspecting for defects after an interior renovation, make sure to actually use the water in the bathroom to verify everything! While creating a beautiful bathroom is important, since it is a space used every day, I think it is more important whether it is actually comfortable to use. #BathroomInterior #욕실인테리어 #욕실리모델링 #쓰리잘비 #콘수프기록집
