#WhatHappenedDuringRemodeling For those of you who are putting a lot of effort into insulation during your interior renovation, please make sure to watch until the end..!!👀 It was day 3 of the renovation, and I visited the construction site for the living room and the bedroom extension with a sense of excitement. However, when I saw the condition of the floor insulation, I couldn't believe my eyes... 😳 The Styrofoam insulation had been laid down haphazardly, and the gaps were clearly visible. It was obvious that if left like this, the cold would rise up like crazy in the winter, so I spoke up at the site, saying, "Mister, I think the insulation was done way too carelessly...?" The reply I got was, "Oh, Madam~ This is actually pretty good~ Everyone does it this way!" And wasn't he subtly ignoring what I said...? 😭 (That bitter feeling of being subtly looked down upon as a woman at an interior renovation site... It feels like it's no use even if I go and check on it every day ㅠㅠ) I decided I couldn't let this go on, so I snapped some photos of the site and showed them to my husband in the evening. And then my husband sent a firm message to the contractor via KakaoTalk. 💬 "It looks like you did the floor insulation way too carelessly... You didn't even apply polyurethane foam to the Styrofoam." Oh my goodness... Unlike when I was speaking, they changed their tune after just one text from my husband...!!! In the end, we broke up all the plaster that was already hardening!💥 1️⃣ We filled the Styrofoam completely again, leaving no gaps. 2️⃣ We sprayed polyurethane foam generously to perfectly seal the gaps! 3️⃣ We finished plastering neatly over it! Thanks to that, the extension has now become an invincible space where our feet stay warm even in the dead of winter ♨️ As expected, knowledge is power on a remodeling site, and sometimes, my husband's firm remark is the real action 🤣 Everyone, when insulating an extension, make sure to visually check if the gap foam has been applied before plastering! #InteriorEpisode #ApartmentRemodeling #LivingRoomExpansion #InsulationWork #Reconstruction #Isopink #OldBuildingInterior #OldBuildingApartmentInterior #OldBuildingRemodeling
