#리모델링하다생긴일 Ep.1 Covering the Bathroom Window 🪟 Before starting the interior renovation of this older apartment, there was a fairly large window in the bathroom. Since we were proceeding with a turnkey project, we decided to remove the bathroom window, and the construction was proceeding without much thought. However, because we hadn't applied elastic coating to the veranda separately, when I looked at the veranda after the renovation was over... I found that the open space where the window used to be had been finished with blue woodwork!!! 🥲 Since it is a laundry room, it would be covered to some extent once the washing machine is placed there, but I still felt it wasn't right to have a section that looked like a blue window sitting right in the middle of the veranda. Hiring the turnkey company again would be prohibitively expensive, so I eventually decided to do the condensation-resistant painting myself! First, I applied putty to the woodworking finishes, and finished the walls by painting with a combination of Dunn-Edwards Insulated and anti-condensation paint 🤍 Since we have a child, I still vividly remember taking turns with my husband to paint until late at night after putting the kids to bed 🥹 Time was really tight, especially since we had to finish the painting before the floor tiling process began. Looking back now, it doesn't seem like a big deal, but when renovating an older apartment, every single one of these small details is surprisingly bothersome.
