The Rhapis Chinese Bamboo is the resident housekeeper that I have been raising for over 20 years, while the Monstera is a baby resident housekeeper that is nearly three years old. They are truly precious plants, but because they are so big, there isn't a suitable place to put them, so I have pushed them all into a corner. Seeing them stuck in a corner, unable to thrive, makes me feel quite uneasy. I placed the Rhapis Chinese Bamboo on the hot veranda during the heatwave, and perhaps because the environment wasn't right, the tips of its leaves turned black and burned. I trimmed off all the leaf tips to tidy them up, and it breaks my heart. Growing plants is certainly not easy, but it is fascinating how plants seem to read people's minds. If I had the space, it would be nice to place it in a spot where it could stretch out freely, so I feel a bit regretful. I feel sorry every time I look at it.
