#리모델링하다생긴일 📌 DIY Remodeling Disaster: Kitchen Sink Edition 😇 Our home interior, which we ended up doing ourselves after getting scammed by a turnkey contractor. There isn't a single spot in the kitchen that I didn't take care of. Since it was my first time and so many construction projects were running simultaneously, there were many things I missed because I didn't know how to do them. There were also so many instances where, if I let my guard down, the worker had already made a mistake! ‼️ Precautions for Kitchen Sink Marble Work ✔️ It is best to visit the site on the day of work no matter what! ✔️ If it is not a trendy sink bowl, double-check the specifications with the technician. ✔️ Make sure to ask them to remove the blue plastic film around the drain area while they are working. Square sink bowls are very popular these days, aren't they?! Since my kitchen is small, I chose a small sink with slightly rounded edges instead of a large, angular square one. I had already given the technician the product name and size, so I felt completely at ease, but that was the catch... Just like he always does, the technician drilled the marble corners to a sharp point lol. Having trusted him completely and not even gone to the site, I was shocked the next day haha. I took a picture of the misaligned edges and sent it to him; thankfully, he acknowledged the mistake and agreed to redo it, so a new piece of marble arrived! Seeing the finished product with the edges perfectly aligned finally gave me a sense of relief... I arrived at the site early on the day of the rework. Following a tip I saw on a DIY interior decorating forum, I asked the technician to remove the blue protective film beforehand. If you don't remove it during assembly, it becomes incredibly difficult to take off cleanly later. Apparently, they often leave it on because customers like the look of a brand-new product. No! Make sure to ask them to remove it during the actual work. Otherwise, you’ll regret it while tearing it off messily 😇 Our kitchen sink is finally finished after many twists and turns... Nothing in DIY interior design worked out without tears!!! Good luck to everyone facing renovations!!
