I was so worried there might be a leak as I started the demolition, but the window frame was completely empty... It was shoddy workmanship just like I'd heard about... They really just stuffed construction waste in there and finished it off, you know? And even used old newspapers... That’s why the window frame was dangling so loosely... and there was a leak through it... It’s a miracle it didn't fall off the whole thing... Since the cost of the window frames took up such a large portion of the interior renovation budget, I agonized over it a lot. But after seeing that situation, I did thorough research and splurged on a place where the headquarters installs it directly. And I’ve thought from the very beginning, and even now—a year after the renovation is finished—that I made the right decision!! Everything proceeded seamlessly from demolition to construction, and the reinforcement was done so meticulously... It feels like my house would be fine even if a tornado hit... haha. In fact, even though it is a high-rise building, there was almost no shaking on a windy day. I am so, so satisfied!! Of course, I also thoroughly checked the window frames themselves. You know how to use a magnet to check if the steel frame extends all the way to the very end of the inner structure, right?! I confirmed that it was really sturdily reinforced all the way to the end haha. Opening and closing the windows is so smooth that it requires almost no effort. The more I use them, the more I compare them to the windows in my previous house, and I think I made the right decision!
