The problem, as expected, was the price 💸 The price difference was quite significant, so I turned my mind back to artificial marble and looked at samples several times, but no matter how many I looked, I couldn't find a color I liked. However, it was also difficult to choose stainless steel right away, because when I looked it up, there were quite a few comments saying it was ‘difficult to maintain.’ So, I really looked up a lot of actual user reviews 🔍 Maintenance wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, and I also liked the fact that having the sink and countertop made as a single unit reduces the need for silicone sealing. In the end, I finally decided on the **stainless steel countertop**, which had been on my mind for a while. To reduce the financial burden a little, the manager in charge looked into several companies for me, and we ultimately decided to have it custom-made at Baekjo. However, the production period at the time was about 3 weeks... 🥲 Because I was hesitating until the very last minute, my order was delayed, and I ended up moving in before the countertop was installed. And it turned out that a delay in just one countertop wasn't the end of it 😂 Without a countertop, there was no sink, and without a sink, the water supply couldn't be connected, and even the installation of the dishwasher and induction cooktop was postponed. I had a kitchen, but I was in a state where I couldn't do anything... 🥲 For almost 15 days, I lived like that, making do with simple meals of cereal or eating delivery food 😂 I learned for the first time this time that just delaying the decision on the countertop can push back the entire installation schedule for the kitchen. Still, looking back now, I think it was a good decision not to rush into choosing a countertop I didn't like. Maintenance isn't as difficult as I feared, and the everyday scratches that appear with use now feel natural to me. Above all, it matches the kitchen atmosphere I wanted, so it remains one of my most satisfied choices to this day 🙌🏻 If you are considering a custom-made countertop, ✔️ make sure to check the production timeline in advance. Especially if there are installation schedules for the sink, faucet, dishwasher, induction cooktop, etc., that follow the countertop installation, it is a good idea to check them together. Because, like me, you might end up living on cereal and delivery food for 15 days even though you have a kitchen... 😂
