I placed it under the living room coffee table, and it is exactly the size I wanted. In our house, we needed a small rug like this rather than a large one. That is because we don't have young children, and both my husband and I wear slippers indoors, so we didn't need a large rug. That is why I thought a rug meant to be placed just on the coffee table would be a good fit. As expected, it fit perfectly once I laid it down.
