I really bought it thinking only about the design and aesthetics, so I didn't consider usability or practicality at all; I just bought it because it was pretty. In conclusion, I absolutely do not recommend it without a dishwasher, but I think it will appeal to the eyes of my fellow friends who live and die for aesthetics. Heh. Here is a list of the downsides of a ceramic sink: - Glass dishes and porcelain break easily. - It stains if you spill kimchi juice (you have to run hot water over it immediately). - It gets scratched easily if you put stainless steel dishes or cast iron pots in it. (At first, I rationalized it to myself by saying these scratches would look vintage.) - Adults always comment that it looks like a bathroom. - Since it's white, dirt shows up easily. - The drain is different from a regular sink, so you need something like a drain strainer.
