It didn't become minimal because we wanted to be; rather, it became minimal automatically because we bought a bed that was too big for our small space. At first, we bought a large bed to share, but since our sleeping patterns and times are different, it became uncomfortable, so we ended up sleeping separately. Of course, my husband still wants to sleep with me, haha. So now, I feel a lingering regret that the bed wasn't a bit smaller.
