When I bought the house while pregnant, I chose the tile flooring option without hesitation—it had always been my dream! 🙋🏻‍♀️ However, once my baby turned one and it was time to move in, I realized that soundproofing mats were a must. 🥹 Since I had already paid extra for the tiles, it felt like a waste to lay down mats for the whole place. Also, I liked the color and texture of the tiles more than I expected, so after much deliberation, I decided to install them only in the living room! My criteria for choosing the mats were: ① Be as similar to the tiles as possible ② Not be too soft ③ Minimize waste by fitting the size of the living room ④ Installation available up to Gyeongnam These were the four criteria. 💁🏻‍♀️ I received samples from 3 to 4 places that met these conditions, compared them, and decided on the one that was most similar to the tiles! Although the color difference from the tiles is slightly more noticeable now that it's actually laid out compared to the small sample, I am satisfied because it blends well with the overall tone of the house 🤍 It isn't too soft and is on the firmer side, so it feels nice to walk on, and since it was installed by a professional, the seams were really clean 👍🏻 They mentioned that it's good to remove the center mat about once a month for ventilation... but I keep forgetting even that haha. Still, perhaps because there are ventilation grooves in the floor, it has been in perfect condition without any moisture or mold even after using it for a year and a half! If I hadn't spent a lot of money on tiles, I think I would have installed it throughout the entire house, including the kitchen and hallway, not just the living room. Still, I am very satisfied that I only installed it in the living room, as it doesn't look out of place with the tiles 🕊️ The edges are finished at an angle, so I don't have to worry about my child tripping over it, and it comes up well based on the Roborock Qurevo Curve!
