The overall vibe I pursue is one of comfort and coziness. Considering harmony with the existing older furniture, beige and brown tones predominate, but I adjust the colors within that range appropriately so that it does not look too somber or heavy. Since this is the space where I spend the most time, I frequently replace the potted plants and rearrange small furniture or chairs to keep things from becoming boring.
