#리모델링하다생긴일 My dream bathroom was an ‘IKEA sink,’ so I’ve compiled some installation tips and precautions. I found out that with IKEA sinks, you can combine the sink base with a vanity. There were three sizes for the Lottsen sink: 600, 800, and 1000, and I chose the 800. I wanted to place it on the existing brick wall, but it was about 10cm short, so I requested that the wall be extended a little before construction began. When I mentioned that I was going with an IKEA sink when choosing the contractor, I learned that some companies charge extra fees for plumbing work on IKEA sinks! Oh! My husband assembled it in advance. It was quite heavy!! Our plumbing team also mentioned that IKEA installations are quite difficult, and that it was their first time doing it😅. After that, the sink installation got a bit complicated, and we had a really hard time. The reason was that instead of connecting the drain pipe to the existing sink, they ran it through the bathroom floor. Since they didn't seal the existing drain hole, we suffered terribly from the smell for months. Because there was a vanity cabinet, the drain hole wasn't visible, so we assumed the smell was due to living on a lower floor😭. If you are getting this installed, make sure to check this carefully. Also, IKEA bathroom and kitchen products are only available for delivery, not for immediate purchase. When we checked the mirrors on the day of delivery, one was broken, so we couldn't install the other one ㅠ. Since the plumbing team had a scheduled visit, we just got a refund for one, but it was so disappointing. Make sure to check this in advance as well. #IKEASink
