☝️ (Last day of August) Power Austerity! I was resting before heading to the gym when I suddenly noticed the wall pad. Last month, my power usage settled at Level 2, 423kJ, but I checked to see how this month would be and was shocked!!! 436kJ!!! Since my child is home for summer vacation this month, power usage has increased. Today, I urgently entered a state of power austerity. 📍 Power Austerity ⭐️ 9-year-old 25-pyeong apartment, system air conditioner. ✔️ The power usage on our wall pad matches the management fee bill. ✔️ Checked power consumption breakdown via the ThinQ app. (Excluding the air conditioner, the refrigerator is overwhelmingly dominant) ✔️ Since the refrigerator runs 24/7 and consumes a lot of power, reduce opening and closing the door. (No habitually opening and closing the door) ✔️ Hand washing instead of the dishwasher. (Taking this opportunity to reduce the number of dishes used) ✔️ Postpone using the dryer, which consumes more power than the washing machine. (Looking at the amount of laundry, there is enough to do tomorrow) ✔️ Open the windows and turn on the air conditioner only when the family is gathered. (Set the air conditioner temperature to 28 degrees) ✔️ Turn off the TV and focus on reading. (The TV system turns on the set-top box as well) ✔️ Turn off lights left on unintentionally. (Bright lights are the main culprit for power consumption) ✔️ Remove fully charged charging cables. (Continuing to fully charge only drains the battery) I did a power usage experiment, and perhaps because the air conditioner temperature setting was high, it was actually lower than turning on the TV? The highest temperature is 29 degrees, with a cool breeze blowing—it's refreshing~ If I had cut back sooner, I wouldn't have had to worry, but I'm glad I realized this now, even if it's late! Just for one day. If I make an effort just for today, we can get through this hurdle. Let's check in advance and avoid the Level 3 450kk tier!
