August is drawing to a close. It has been raining since this morning, as if to wash away the summer completely. From the beginning of this year until now, when summer refuses to leave even after the strings of the seasons have been broken. The knowledge lectures I have been conducting throughout the changing of all four seasons ended last week. The season has also wrapped up for the precious and valuable work for which I prayed and prayed every night to be able to speak as the character. I also went on my first trip alone with my fun friend, twelve-year-old Eun. I told myself, "I'll never go just the two of us again," but not long after, those bustling scenes keep rolling around in my memory like a candy I want to keep sucking on. Are beginnings and endings entities that cannot travel back and forth alone? Work always starts all at once, and always ends all at once. For a freelancer, for whom every moment of emptiness is prone to becoming anxiety, learning how to enjoy periods of downtime is truly important. I carefully gathered the things I wanted to do when I had free time, but when I actually get my days off, the work I do is always the same. I make healthy and delicious meals (grilling beef for breakfast^^^^^), try to speed up my reading progress on books I hadn't made before (page thirteen was the toughest part^^^^), and take out cherished items to look at and repackage them to look brand new—these are peculiar yet happy hobbies. I rewatch movies and dramas I’ve seen more than ten times as if I’m seeing them for the first time, or I scrub every corner of the house hard and then place my favorite scent. My absolute favorite thing to do is jump into the sofa, shaking it out and tidying it up, until it gets messy in an instant. And I love messing up the furry little guy who sits quietly beside me after I lie down, just like the sofa itself. The week I returned from my trip, I did a thorough deep cleaning, and took off all the sofa covers to wash them (washable sofas are truly a Eureka moment!). Whether it’s because of that, or because the wind has carried the scent of autumn, the soft texture feels exceptionally good, so once I sit down, getting up is a challenge. On days when the sounds of rain, crickets, and birds all come together, getting off the sofa is truly... a challenge of the century 🫠 I'll come home from work, take a refreshing shower, and then hold my breath again to do another sofa dive 🤎 #NewHomeFurniture #신혼가구 #신혼집 #신혼집인테리어 #거실인테리어 #거실 #거실꾸미기 #거실스타일링 #소파 #소파추천 #소파인테리어 #워셔블 #워셔블소파 #패브릭소파
