It is the first day of September. For some reason, the breeze blowing into the house feels a bit cooler, and last night my husband remarked, "The days are getting shorter and shorter." It seems we are at the tail end of summer. I started the morning of September by turning a page of the Piava calendar I had placed there, captivated by its aesthetics rather than its functionality. Since I have work to rush toward a deadline today, I find myself hurrying a bit more to tidy up the house on days like this. I was boiling eggs to work quietly while they slept after I had a hearty snack, but the bosses—how did they know I was giving them?—settled right into a corner of the kitchen. Perhaps quiet, perhaps chaotic—the daily life of our home. Just when I thought I had finally found a balance in my daily routine, I have been agonizing over an unexpected choice for the past few days. I like the saying that you should throw yourself into the situation rather than dwell on quiet worries or distracting thoughts, but since I tend to be simple yet quite cautious, it isn't easy 😏 Personally, when I think of the number 9, it feels weighty and gives a sense of stability.
