#거실스타일링 #키즈프렌들리하우스 The living room of our home, where we live with two Beagle sisters, is a space created after intense deliberation on "how to best utilize" it to suit our family's tastes and lifestyle. 🤍 This time, I am introducing the 'English Book Study Zone' on the opposite side of the living room for the first time—a spot I haven't properly shown in previous home photos. 📚🎧 Originally, this was where the TV used to be, but I decorated it to its current state as we transformed the living room into a study. Actually, we've had a CD player for a while, but the Nobuyoung CDs and English books were tucked away in a corner and never really saw the light of day. Now, we can play the CDs the kids want right away, and we utilize the space like a full-length bookshelf at a height they can reach for their frequently read books. On the wall, I repurposed a "Dad Chart" and displayed them in a row so they can pick out CDs at a glance. In fact, there are several small "zones" like this hidden away in our living room. ✔️ A study zone for enjoying English books and music ✔️ A reading zone centered around a rotating bookshelf next to the window sofa ✔️ A Schrossbar play zone utilizing the living room wall ✔️ And even a cozy rooftop reading zone created by using the partition wall between the kitchen and living room! If you look at the photos from a distance, these spaces don't appear to be separate; they connect naturally within the same living room. 🌿 Although it is a 25-pyeong tower-style apartment and not a particularly spacious living room, I prioritized keeping the children's movement paths open by actively utilizing the walls and corners, even though I filled the space with various areas. So, here are the 3 things I would like to recommend as 'living room focal points for homes with children'! ✨ ① A CD player & CD storage utilizing the wall 💿 It not only adds a cafe-like vibe but also lets children enjoy the fun of choosing their own music. ② A savior for small spaces, a rotating bookshelf 📚 It takes up less space while allowing you to stack plenty of books, making it the key element of the reading zone. ③ A wall-mounted Schroth Bar that takes up no floor space 🧗♀️ It is the number one contributor to allowing the children to unleash their energy to their heart's content without ruining the living room interior. While bringing in expensive furniture is nice, I found that the items that survive the longest in our home are the things the children can handle freely without feeling bad about wasting them, and the things they 'use every day' by taking them out themselves to read, listen to, and hang onto. A place where they read books and listen to music, or roll around on the sofa and suddenly start hanging onto it. 🤭 Although our living room is a maximalist space filled with our family's tastes, I think the current look—where these boisterous days naturally accumulate—suits our home best.
