I modified the space to remove the ‘old-fashioned’ feel and allow the burlwood chest of drawers to stand out naturally. There’s nothing particularly special about it, but strangely enough, it is the most comfortable living room in my home. I placed a black sofa, laid down a vintage rug, and put the burlwood chest of drawers next to it. It isn’t a space filled with fancy furniture or special accessories, but as I filled it with things I love one by one, I found that at some point, it became the space where I spend the most time. The natural vibe of the vintage rug, the warm wood tones characteristic of burlwood, and the black sofa that anchors the space with a sense of weight. Each element is simple on its own, but when placed together, they create the exact atmosphere I love. Rather than a perfectly decorated living room, I prefer a living room where I can live comfortably every day.
