So, after some consideration, I decided to apply adhesive sheets. I remembered how sticky residue was left behind when I peeled off the adhesive film in my previous house, so this time I tried a little trick. It was... Applying the adhesive film to the foam board and inserting it! First, I cut the foam board to fit the wall, applied the adhesive film over it, and then inserted it directly into the kitchen tiles. I secured it only with silicone tape at the corners, and it fit right in! It went in perfectly, like a stray. ♥ Of course, there are downsides. Over time, small air bubbles started to appear, but they aren't very noticeable from a distance. It can be fixed in a split second at any time, and it is very useful when you want to use a different product or apply a different type of adhesive film. These advantages are so significant that I think I will always work on kitchen adhesive film this way from now on :)
