The reason is a frameless bed :) I don't have a bed frame and am currently using just a mattress :) Actually, it's not because I'm pursuing a minimalist style; I maintained my newlywed life without finding a bed I liked, and after having a child, things just happened to keep going like this. I will change it if I find a bed I like, but for now, I am satisfied with the current state :) It is easy to clean as I move the mattress around, and since I clean whenever dust starts to build up on the floor, there is no room for dust to accumulate.
