This living room is a 50/50 blend of my brother's nature love and my love for patterns. Since it is an old villa, the cherry wood molding is thick and the hardwood floors have so many scratches, so I chose to cover them up to distract the eye. Because the living room is long vertically, I used a striped linen material to let in soft sunlight and create a sense of openness. The armchair looked a bit plain, but covering it with a blanket added charm, and using the cushions in various ways completed a lush(?) living room! I realized that interior design is ultimately a matter of personal taste...
