I liked the architectural details, such as the mansard roof, window moldings, and the central tower, so I received it as a gift and tried refurbishing it. I used a layering of various colors of Rust-Oleum Stone Spray. I preserved the original form as much as possible, and finished the exterior walls in a warm ivory and the roof in a dark charcoal color to transform it into a slightly calmer European building feel. I hung a small clock in the center, put acrylic mirrors in the windows, and installed lights in the roof windows so that when the lights are turned on, it looks like the windows of a European hotel. Currently, it is hanging on the wall and used as an architectural object, a lamp, a clock, and a storage cabinet all in one. 😀😀 The toy house I received as a gift has become a small European building in our home. 🏛️🤎 The console below was also completed by taking apart a kids' furniture set, specifically focusing on the parts with the prettiest plastic shapes and colors, and attaching clear acrylic legs. The wooden stool next to it was made by disassembling a discarded Janggu (Korean drum), using only the center section, and attaching a wooden tray from Daiso to the top. I placed it there to put things down briefly before going into the bathroom. 😊😊 Finding gems among discarded or unwanted items, and reforming them to my taste to create a one-of-a-kind home for myself—that is my secret tip. 🤎🏛️🌿
