I started with just one pretty pot, but now I’ve even developed a joy in keeping track of watering days. Today, for the first time in a while, I gave the plants a refreshing shower. Washing off the dust accumulated on the leaves and thoroughly wetting the soil makes the plants look much fresher. In particular, the Schefflera was really tiny when I first brought it home, but it has already grown about a hand span taller than when I first got it. I'm still finding it difficult to figure out how to shape it, but I hope it continues to grow beautifully just like it is now. Scindapsus is relatively easy to grow, so it is a plant that is highly recommended for those who are new to growing plants. However, rather than watering too often, it is better to water only after the soil has dried somewhat, giving enough water to drain sufficiently from the bottom of the pot. Abies ferns like a moist environment, so it is said that increasing the surrounding humidity helps when the air is dry. However, since water can damage the roots if it remains stagnant in the pot, it is important to distinguish between "moist" and "damp." I still can't quite tell the difference, so the tips of my leaves keep turning black 😅 I am learning as I grow them one by one that, just like people, each plant has its own preferred environment.
