I made a video of the curtains I posted last time. The curtains I spent a long time choosing didn't just block the window; they changed the light coming into the house. The loose texture of the linen, the pleats that extend generously down to the floor, and the soft daylight filtering through them. Actually, right after moving in, I didn't have curtains, so I temporarily covered the balcony window with black plastic sheeting. I needed something to cover the space, but I didn't want to just pick something I would look at for a long time. About a month after finding the linen curtains I liked, I hung them on the rail myself. With a living room width of 450cm and four panels on each side, and a ceiling height of 220cm, I ordered a length of approximately 223cm to accommodate soundproofing mats. The voluminous pleats and just the right amount of sheerness, and the texture of the linen that comes alive the closer you look. Watching the children play between the curtains has now become a familiar scene in the living room. The reason I spent so much time choosing this remains in my living room today.
