I installed the Flos Parentesi so that it faces the wall, providing soft illumination. Since the light spreads naturally as it hits the wall, it feels much softer than looking directly at the light from the front. Thanks to the empty space created between the walls and ceiling, the room also feels much wider and deeper. Another advantage is that by directing the light toward the wall instead of placing a bedside lamp, it doesn't take up floor space, allowing me to keep a small bedroom tidy. Lighting that acts as a simple object during the day and creates the atmosphere of the space at night.
