Once a week, it is watering day for my plants. 🌿 Although I set a standard of watering once a week, I don't just water them blindly based on the date. I insert a wooden stick into the soil to check how dry it is before watering. Lately, as the weather has gotten cooler, the rate at which the soil dries seems to vary slightly from plant to plant, so I find myself checking them one more time before watering. However, the bracken ferns in my house are not in very good condition these days 🥲 The Duffy fern, in particular, was struggling a lot, so I trimmed off the damaged leaves and pruned it. When you grow plants, it seems they don't always grow beautifully and healthily. It is about looking at them every day to see if they are growing well, and waiting patiently while making small changes to their environment. I think even that process is part of the fun of growing plants 🤍 I checked on the plants one by one again today, and finished off with a cup of coffee ☕️. I really enjoy this time of slowly taking care of my home like this.
