#투베이리모델링 Our home is an older apartment building, about 20 years old. When I first saw the house, what I liked most was the long, continuous veranda structure, which is surprisingly unique to older buildings. The veranda extends from the two bedrooms all the way to the living room, and the previous resident had already extended the living room area. However, as seen in the "before" photos, the overall feel was quite dated, and the extended space was finished somewhat haphazardly. So, at first, I was worried, thinking, "What if there is a load-bearing wall remaining in the middle?" But fortunately, after demolition, there was no load-bearing wall blocking the living room extension. It turned out to be a structure that allowed for a clean, unobstructed layout from one side to the other. Therefore, for this interior renovation, rather than adding separate structures, we focused on maximizing the sense of spaciousness the house already possesses. We also kept the ceiling and walls as neat as possible and matched the entire space to a bright white tone. On the side of the extended window, we hung the curtains down from the ceiling to avoid interrupting the view. Once completed, the living room felt more like a spacious, open modern apartment rather than an older, outdated one. In particular, leaving the center of the living room empty instead of filling it with furniture made the space look larger than its actual size. Since we have a baby, it also turned out to be a great space to use as a play area in the future. Initially, there were many things that needed fixing because it was an older building, but by making good use of the existing structure's strengths, it has now become one of my favorite spaces in the house. It turns out that older buildings aren't necessarily all disadvantages.
