Checklist to Consider Before Kitchen Renovation! ✔️ Raising the Height of Upper Kitchen Cabinets Since this is an older apartment building, the lower cabinets were installed quite low! If they are too low, it causes back pain, and if they are too high, it is uncomfortable to cut with a knife, so I recommend installing them according to your height! ✔️ Storage Space We incorporated storage space in every section, from the upper cabinets to the lower cabinets! To avoid inconvenience, we extended the storage cabinets outwards in the leg area where the island table goes and in the corners, allowing them to be used from the living room as well. ✔️ Electrical Wiring I felt that the existing outlets were insufficient, so we installed recessed outlets in the island! It is a good idea to plan the electrical and drilling locations in advance. ✔️ Shelves for the Base Sink Cabinet This was a detail I had overlooked, but the thoughtful sink cabinet contractor made them for me! If you mention it nicely when having them made, they will likely produce them without any extra charge. ✔️ Cutlery Organizer I really wanted a cutlery organizer, so I requested that they be made to come out from the inside, hidden away!
