I got a slim drying rack to use as a supplement to the dishwasher. Since we are a family of five, even with a 14-place setting dishwasher, we sometimes have leftover dishes. I needed a separate space to put hand-washed dishes, so I chose a slim model for the drying rack. My old dishwashing basin happened to be worn out as well, so I replaced it at the same time. I collect leftover plates in a 10L square container and place washed dishes one by one on the drying rack right next to it. Since I mostly put everything in the dishwasher and only dry the leftovers, this setup fits our home perfectly. With the stainless steel basin and drying rack side by side, the area around the sink looks much more unified :) It is also nice that I can see exactly what dishes are there when I stand them upright, as shown in the photo.
