Candidate 1. Altenbach Defenders / Defenders S I've heard that the stainless steel pan features a honeycomb-shaped coating, so you can use it for a very long time without worrying about scratches. They say it has excellent heat conductivity, making it perfect for grilling meat. However, reviews mention that it is quite heavy and requires preheating, so I'm worried it might be too much of a burden for me to use every day since I have weak wrists. (If you happen to use one, I'd also like to know which one you recommend: the original Defenders or the Defenders S, which is said to be lighter!) Candidate 2. Tefal True to its reputation as a "national frying pan," it is lightweight and has excellent coating performance, so I've heard there is nothing better for rough use on fried eggs or simple stir-fries. It certainly seems like it would put less strain on the wrist, but I'm slightly concerned that the coating is consumable and needs to be replaced every 1 to 2 years. Sturdy but heavy 'Altenbach' vs. Lightweight with excellent coating but periodic replacement 'Tefal'. Which brand should I settle on to avoid double spending and cook stress-free? Please give us lots of real recommendations from those who have used them themselves!
