From a desk to a dining table—multi-purpose items, even if you buy just one. One of the key criteria I look for when buying furniture these days is: “Is it used for only one purpose?” The piece of furniture in my studio that serves more roles than I expected is the height-adjustable side table from Fuhan. I initially bought it because I needed an auxiliary table to use next to my desk, but once I actually used it, I felt it was a waste to use it only as a side table. Normally, I use it as an auxiliary desk or storage space next to my desk, but when needed, I roll the wheels forward to use it as a makeshift dining table. It is particularly useful when eating delivery food or late-night snacks, as shown in the photo. It is comfortable to eat while looking at the monitor, and once you are finished, you simply slide it back to the side. Side table → Auxiliary desk → Storage → Single dining table. Rather than adding a piece of furniture for every specific use, it is about utilizing a single piece of furniture in various ways depending on the situation. Especially when space is limited, while how pretty the furniture is is important, I think how often and in what ways it can be used becomes a crucial selection criterion. Today, Fuhan's height-adjustable side table is working next to the desk during the day, and is on its second shift in front of the chicken at night.
