Do figs and chocolate go well together? I was a bit surprised at first, too, but after trying them together, I found they paired surprisingly well. With the addition of rich, slightly bitter chocolate to the soft, moist figs, the combination is sweet yet slightly bitter, making it quite delicious. Placing them one by one on pretty plates made them look even more appetizing before I even ate them, and plating was a lot of fun. They are just fruit when eaten plain, but adding a touch of chocolate suddenly made them feel like a dessert :) If you like figs, try eating them with chocolate this time.
