This is a review based on my personal experience using and styling the product, which was provided through the #오감리뷰 program. I found that for kitchen tools used frequently every day, I tend to gravitate more toward products that are comfortable to hold and easy to maintain. The product I tried this time is the Heriter Essence Kitchen Scissors. When I first saw them, what caught my eye was the curved design, which is slightly different from typical kitchen scissors. I was told that the curved flow of the Essence kitchen scissors was inspired by the strokes of Korean handwriting; hearing the explanation that the rhythm of Hangeul—where straight lines and curves naturally connect—was captured in the scissor handles and outer lines made the design feel even more special. However, these scissors weren't just for the sake of a pretty design. Since the product was designed based on the repetitive cutting motions used in the actual kitchen, I felt less strain on my hands when cutting ingredients, and the curved surface of the handle gripped naturally and comfortably. In particular, I liked that the detachable stainless steel structure makes cleaning and maintenance easy after use. With kitchen scissors, it can be bothersome to have food particles or seasonings get stuck in the crevices, but I was satisfied that the ability to disassemble and wash them thoroughly allows for hygienic maintenance. It feels like a single design that incorporates everything from cutting power and hygiene to reduced fatigue during use and ease of cleaning. As a kitchen tool used repeatedly every day, these scissors made me realize that not only does it cut well, but the feel in the hand and proper maintenance are also important. If you are someone who doesn't want to compromise on either design or functionality, I think this is a tool worth considering as a long-term addition to your kitchen.
