[Cointre Modern Basic Induction Protective Mat Beige💛] The part I was most concerned about when using an induction cooktop was maintaining the surface. No matter how carefully I used it, I was surprisingly bothered by tiny scratches from placing and removing pots, stains from splashing food, and marks left behind after soup boiled over. In particular, while a clean induction cooktop makes the entire kitchen look much more organized, even a single stain is easily noticeable. So, while looking for a protective mat, I decided to try the Cointreau Modern Basic Induction Protective Mat. ｢Design｣ The part I liked the most was, of course, the design. When you think of induction protective mats, there are many products that focus only on function, resulting in clunky designs or products that look out of place in the kitchen. However, true to its name, this product has an overall modern and simple vibe, so it blends in naturally when placed on the induction cooktop. ** I particularly liked the beige color; it goes well with white or cream-toned kitchens, and it matches seamlessly with wood or beige-toned kitchens as well. It isn't a color that stands out too much, so it adds a subtle warmth without ruining the kitchen's atmosphere. ｢Size｣ At first, I was worried it might be smaller than expected since it was listed as 20cm, but it was actually a suitable size for placing pots on. I found it particularly convenient that it doesn't cover the entire induction cooktop but rather protects the specific burner being used, allowing me to place one sheet at a time as needed. Since burner sizes and structures vary by induction cooktop, I recommend checking the size of your specific cooktop before purchasing. There was a review mentioning it was being used on a cooktop around 27cm in size; because cooktop structures and pot sizes differ for each user, I recommend checking the size in advance. ｢Function｣ The most basic function is, of course, protecting the induction cooktop surface. What I was most satisfied with was that it allows for a cleaner surface to be used because it reduces direct contact with the induction cooktop when placing or moving pots. Especially for households that cook every day, I think this small difference feels more significant than expected. Since it reduces direct friction on the surface when lifting and putting down pots, I felt a bit more at ease using it. I also liked that the product itself is made of silicone-coated material, so the pots stayed in place with a certain degree of stability rather than feeling like they were sliding immediately. When I placed the mat on the induction cooktop and put a pot on it, it felt less slippery, making it comfortable to use while cooking. "Convenience" There is no separate installation process required; you simply place the mat on the desired burner and then place the pot on top. When not in use, you can just lift it up and put it away, and when cleaning the surface, you simply lift the mat and wipe the induction cooktop, so there is almost no hassle involved. Above all, I liked that it slightly reduced the burden of having to handle the cooktop carefully every time I used the induction cooktop. If you cook frequently in the kitchen, you are bound to get splashed with broth or sauces often. Having a mat made maintenance much easier because I could wipe it off immediately if food spilled on it. "Care Instructions" If food gets on the mat after cooking, simply lift it out, wash it lightly under running water, and wipe it dry. I found it convenient to clean sticky stains, such as broth or sauce, using lukewarm water and a neutral detergent. Since it is beige, I found it better to wipe it off immediately after use rather than leaving food stains on it for a long time. This is because while beige blends well with the kitchen, dark sauces or grease stains can be quite noticeable. Conversely, if you wipe it off right away, it is not difficult to keep it looking clean.
