#InteriorKnowHow #CornSoupRecordBook 🫧 My interior know-how is utilizing "dead walls." While it may seem that all walls in an apartment serve the same purpose, non-load-bearing walls, excluding load-bearing walls, can sometimes be removed or structurally altered depending on the structural and equipment conditions. We have been living in our home in its original, unmodified state since the initial sale, without any special structural changes. Therefore, rather than removing walls, I first considered how to utilize the existing walls. I found that simply installing shelves, placing storage cabinets, or storing necessary items on empty walls significantly increased the usability of the space, much more than I had expected. In particular, when decorating a home, I believe that identifying unused parts of the existing space is a good interior design method, rather than blindly tearing down walls and changing the structure. For me, that is exactly what "bringing dead walls to life."
