Cacti are great for plant beginners! I love plants, so I've been growing cacti at home. It's been about six months now, and they've been growing well so far. They don't need frequent watering and are relatively easy to care for, so I think they are plants that are less of a burden to grow at home. Having a lush green plant adds a natural focal point to the space. If you like plants but are hesitant because they are difficult to care for, I think it would be a good idea to start with a plant that requires relatively less attention, like a cactus.
