⏰️ Tips for Decorating a Ghibli-Style Wall Shelf I had a Ghibli-style shelf in mind that I really wanted. I hadn't been able to bring myself to order it, but after seeing how beautifully my daughter decorated it, I mustered up the courage to place an order. However, when I actually started decorating, I struggled with the placement of the props. If I filled it up, it looked cluttered, but if I removed too much, it looked empty. I placed a soup bowl, postcards, and an antique key harvested from today's garden in the center, and added a red retro clock, small trinkets, romantic lace, and green plants. I kept the props I liked and used small empty spaces in between to eliminate any sense of clutter.
