Ulsan New Apartment Kitchen Remodeling | Nine Design Construction Review 🏠 We remodeled only the necessary parts of the new apartment before moving in. Initially, we even considered an open-plan kitchen layout, but since the view toward the living room was unobstructed from the existing sink location, we decided to preserve the existing structure as much as possible rather than demolishing the entire kitchen. The biggest changes were made to the refrigerator cabinet and the island. After removing the existing refrigerator cabinet, we fabricated a new storage unit above it and installed a rail storage system in the narrow space next to the refrigerator to utilize even the leftover space. The island, which was originally 1,900mm, was extended entirely to 3,000mm. As the length increased, the cooking area became wider, and the lower storage space became much more spacious. We also cut out holes for the dishwasher and induction cooktop to fit the appliances to be used. In the laundry room, we fabricated a countertop to allow the washing machine and dryer to be placed side-by-side and installed a system drying rack. We also converted the existing pantry space into a dressing room. While searching for a renovation company in Ulsan, I personally received quotes from several firms and compared them before having Nine Design handle the work. The total cost for the kitchen, laundry room, and dressing room renovation was 2.2 million won. These are the details and costs from when I had the work done; however, estimates may vary depending on the house structure, scope of work, and materials.
