I was hesitant to just let the solid oak wood get covered up because it felt like a waste, but I ended up painting it with a "whatever" attitude. Doesn't it look pretty good? ♥️ Since this table had been practically neglected and hardly used for 10 years, it was heavily tanned and had stains and cracks here and there. I kept putting off sanding it, telling myself I'd set a day to do it. But then I figured if I was going to sand it anyway, it wouldn't matter whether I painted it or not (or not), so I just went for it.
