Thinking about it, I realized there are methods I frequently use when decorating my home, so I’m going to share them with you today🤎 1️⃣ Choose 2–3 favorite colors and repeat them Select a color you like and use it again on posters, rugs, cushions, blankets, and small accessories. The artwork in my house features colors that match the sofa, so the space looks naturally connected. The blue from the rug is also repeated on the cushions and blankets, creating a comfortable overall color scheme. Instead of matching the exact same colors, try adding small amounts of similar shades here and there. 2️⃣ Create height and layers with books Simply place your favorite books on a table or shelf, or prop them up under lamps or potted plants. Compared to when only small accessories are placed, this creates height variations, making the space less bland, and even the book covers become decorations that showcase your taste. Stacking just two or three books is enough. 3️⃣ Adding Slender and Elongated Elements Try adding elements like plant stems, mobiles, or thin lights between large pieces of furniture like sofas or tables. This creates a visual flow both vertically and horizontally, making the space look much lighter and adding a sense of rhythm compared to when only large furniture is present. Before bringing in new furniture, try changing the accessories you already have little by little in this way.
